I spent two decades in the newsrooms of the Associated Press in Philadelphia and the Harrisburg Patriot-News as an entertainment reporter.

I’ve freelanced for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Reading Eagle, and a host of music-related websites, including Riff Relevant, Metal Temple, Metal Epidemic, and Female Fronted Power.

In my spare time, I love to read (especially fantasy and historical fiction) and learn more about female-centric spirituality. I also love travel, fashion, and spending time with my adult daughter. 

At the moment, my favorite bands are Amorphis, Motörhead, Rush, Amaranthe and Within Temptation.

I have a Masters degree in English Literature, Japanese and Ethnology from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

My day job is as a food and business editor and journalist, but my music freelance work has been mainly for Orkus! magazine as well as a host of music-related websites, including Ghost Cult Magazine, Monkeypress, and Female Fronted Power.

In my spare time, I love reading books on history, feminism, the occult, folk-horror, fantasy and architecture, along with going to gigs and festivals, travelling (especially to England), and taking photos.

I’ll be writing for Heavy Hags in German as well as English, for our bilingual readers.

At the moment, my favourite bands are Brothers of Metal, Within Temptation, Amorphis, Blackbriar, and Draconian.
